End of Days is a 1999 supernatural thriller directed by Peter Hyams (The Presidio). Set at the end of the twentieth century, the film stars Arnold Schwarzenegger as Jericho Cane, a burnt-out private security specialist who finds himself protecting a young woman from a man who may embody the ultimate evil and then bring about the end of the world.  The film prominently features several models of the Glock pistol, including one of the earliest appearances in a film of the Glock 34. The film's cast includes Gabriel Byrne, Kevin Pollak, Robin Tunney, and Rod Steiger.

Jericho Cane (Arnold Schwarzenegger) carries a third generation Glock 34 as his sidearm throughout most of the film. Since this movie was filmed in 1998 and released in 1999, the Glock 34 was a brand new handgun at the time and is what is considered a "Hero Gun", a gun released exclusively for a film to advertise it. When the priests in the church try to explain to Jericho about the Devil and God, he remarks, "Between your faith and my Glock 9mm, I take my Glock.".

Jericho Cane keeps a pair of Glock 26 subcompact 9x19mm pistols hidden in his sleeves on unseen clips, ready to whip out in a seconds notice. It would appear Jericho has a liking for Glock pistols. In real life, Schwarzenegger is a noted fan of Glocks, which are made in his home country of Austria. Prior to End of Days, he had used Glocks in True Lies and Eraser, and would go on to use Glocks in most of his later films.

After Jericho has his Glock 34 taken away by Satan (Gabriel Byrne), he goes to the security company armory and grabs a Glock 17 3rd Generation to use as his sidearm for the rest of the film. When fleeing Satan on the subway, Christine York (Robin Tunney) asks if she can help and Jericho quickly teaches her how to use the Glock and gives it to her. Since the Glock 3rd Generation was brand new at the time as well, this is another "Hero Gun". Starting to see a pattern with the 9mm Glocks here?

The officer seen standing next to Detective Margie Francis (CCH Pounder) is often seen armed with a Glock 19. Det. Francis herself is seen using this gun to point at Jericho during Satan's ceremony before Jericho kills her. By now, the film has pretty much advertised every 9x19mm Glock in the series, though the Glock 19's seen on-screen are the older 2nd-generation models, evidenced by the lack of accessory rails on the frame.

Before going to face Satan (Gabriel Byrne), Jericho goes to the police station and grabs a Heckler & Koch MP5A3 fitted with a custom muzzle break and an M203 grenade launcher. The muzzle break is presumabley added so the muzzle flash doesn't burn the M203 launcher underneath. This is a custom built weapon since the M203 was not built to be underslung on the MP5, and obviously has little tactical value on a close quarters submachine gun when the rounds have to reach a certain distance before they detonate. While M203 mounts have been built to fit MP5s, the only rounds sensible to use with it are beanbags and other non-HE rounds since a close quarter gun is not built to shoot long range grenades.

Before going to face Satan (Gabriel Byrne), Jericho goes to the security company's arsenal and grabs a Heckler & Koch MP5A3 fitted with an RM Equipment M203PI grenade launcher. In order to mount the grenade launcher a special "Interbar" mount is used which replaces the handguard of the weapon. The mount also incorporates a large muzzle brake which serves a dual purpose of providing a front attachment point for the grenade launcher, and protecting it from the muzzle flash of the MP5. Jericho uses the MP5 in combination with the Blackhawk Chalker Sling, a particular system of tactical weapons transport designed by a former Navy SEAL. A regular MP5A3 is seen wielded by an NYPD ESU officer in the subway tunnel near the beginning of the film.

End of Days (1999)

The following weapons were used in the film End of Days:

Handguns

Glock 34

Jericho Cane (Arnold Schwarzenegger) carries a third generation Glock 34 as his sidearm throughout most of the film. Since this movie was filmed in 1998 and released in 1999, the Glock 34 was a brand new handgun at the time and is what is considered a "Hero Gun", a gun released exclusively for a film to advertise it. When the priests in the church try to explain to Jericho about the Devil and God, he remarks, "Between your faith and my Glock 9mm, I take my Glock.".

Glock 34 - 9x19mm
Jericho goes to pick up his Glock 34. Note that the extractor appears to be flat. Gen 3 extractors have a notched extractor that also serves as a tactile loaded chamber indicator. This would indicate this is a transitional "Gen 2.5" model using up leftover parts, which would make sense because the Gen 3 models were brand new at the time.
Jericho chambers his Glock 34.
Jericho contemplates suicide with his Glock 34 before his partner Bobby Chicago (Kevin Pollak) walks in.
Bobby notices Jericho's Glock 34 on the couch but chooses not to say anything.
Jericho searches Christine York's (Robin Tunney) house with his Glock 34 ready.
When Satan (Gabriel Byrne) shows Jericho a flashback to the Christmas day his family was murdered, he fires his Glock 34 at the assailants but to no avail.
Jericho looks at his Glock 34, shocked that the rounds have no effect.
When Satan picks up Jericho by the throat, he draws and fires his Glock 34 into him at close range, which has no effect.
When a member of the Roman Catholic church tries to kill Christine with a cerimonial dagger, Jericho shoots it with his Glock 34. When he goes to stab her again with the broken blade, he shoots his hand and remarks, "I can keep doing this all day."
Since there will always be skeptics who say Jericho's Glock has to be a 17L due to the time frame, here's a shot showing "34" "Austria" and "9x19mm" on the slide. This is also unlikely because the slide and barrel on the Glock 17L is a full inch longer than that on the G34.
When the Satan worshipers outside the church attack Jericho, they knock his Glock 34 out of reach. When he finally grabs it to shoot Satan, he sticks his hand out and the bullet fires through his hand.

Glock 26

Jericho Cane keeps a pair of Glock 26 subcompact 9x19mm pistols hidden in his sleeves on unseen clips, ready to whip out in a seconds notice. It would appear Jericho has a liking for Glock pistols. In real life, Schwarzenegger is a noted fan of Glocks, which are made in his home country of Austria. Prior to End of Days, he had used Glocks in True Lies and Eraser, and would go on to use Glocks in most of his later films.

Glock 26 - 9x19mm
Jericho pulls the slide back on his Glock 26 in the car.
Jericho releases the slide.
Jericho attaches the Glock 26 to a clip in his sleeve.
Jericho pulls his Glock 26s out from his sleeves when he rather obviously sticks his hands in his sleeves when ordered to put his hands above his head. He fires the Glocks akimbo style and uses them to kill Det. Margie Francis (CCH Pounder) and another officer when he learns they are Satan worshipers and try to kill him.
Jericho takes a pair of Glock 26s from the pistol rack at the police station before going to face Satan. This is the last time we see them used in the film.

Glock 17

After Jericho has his Glock 34 taken away by Satan (Gabriel Byrne), he goes to the security company armory and grabs a Glock 17 3rd Generation to use as his sidearm for the rest of the film. When fleeing Satan on the subway, Christine York (Robin Tunney) asks if she can help and Jericho quickly teaches her how to use the Glock and gives it to her. Since the Glock 3rd Generation was brand new at the time as well, this is another "Hero Gun". Starting to see a pattern with the 9mm Glocks here?

Glock 17 3rd Generation - 9x19mm
When Jericho interrupts Satan's ceremony, he holds Christine hostage with the Glock 17. Obviously he wouldn't kill her, but it is enough to keep Satan at bay for a minute, since he needs her alive.
Jericho teaches Christine how to use the sights on the Glock 17. This is kind of funny since he hadn't been using the sights in the film at all up to this point.
Even on the fly, he should have taught her some more basic gun handling techniques like to keep a two handed high grip, finger OFF the trigger until ready to shoot, and don't bend arms. It is a miracle she hits anything.
Jericho chambers the Glock for her. Why it wasn't chambered up until this point is unknown since he started out with this as his sidearm.
Christine whips the gun around and shoots a Satan worshiper on the train out of sheer luck.
Christine fires the Glock 17 at Satan under the train.

Glock 19

The officer seen standing next to Detective Margie Francis (CCH Pounder) is often seen armed with a Glock 19. Det. Francis herself is seen using this gun to point at Jericho during Satan's ceremony before Jericho kills her. By now, the film has pretty much advertised every 9x19mm Glock in the series, though the Glock 19's seen on-screen are the older 2nd-generation models, evidenced by the lack of accessory rails on the frame.

Glock 19 2nd Generation - 9x19mm
When Det. Francis and the officer burst into Thomas Aquinas (Derrick O'Connor) home, the officer has his Glock 19 ready.
The officer shoots Thomas in the head with his Glock 19 when he jumps up after being presumed dead.
Det. Francis points a Glock 19 at Jericho during the ceremony before he kills her.

Heckler & Koch P7M13

Jericho's partner Bobby Chicago (Kevin Pollak) uses a double stack stainless Heckler & Koch P7M13 as his sidearm in the film.

Ruger Mk II suppressed

One of the thugs seen in the flashback in which Jericho's family is killed uses a Ruger Mk II Pistol fitted with a suppressor. The actor playing this thug is Sven-Ole Thorsen, who is good friends with Arnold Schwarzenegger and has made numerous cameos in Arnold's films. You might recognize him as Gutzon in The Quick and the Dead (1995) and the Mongolian guy wielding two machine guns in Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle.

Submachine Guns

Heckler & Koch MP5A3

Note how the bolt is locked up in this shot. Not the most useful way to use the gun.

Note how the front sight is bent in this scene. Someone was a little too rough with the equipment.

Other

RM Equipment M203PI

Fitted under Jericho's MP5A3 is an RM Equipment M203PI grenade launcher. Before leaving the arsenal, Jericho is seen grabbing three fictional "40mm" rounds, two of which are yellow and one of which is red. Based on how they are seen used in the film, the yellow rounds explode on impact while the red round has a time-delayed fuse. Although it is not shown, if you listen carefully you can hear him grabbing a fourth grenade (the one he loads in the church before discarding the MP5 altogether).

The 'yellow' rounds are seen. These have 'API' markings, presumably meant to indicate they are Armor-Piercing Incendiary rounds.
Jericho is seen picking up one red round. These appear to have 'HE' (High-Explosive) markings.

Jericho shoots the gas main with the M203 launcher, which blows the place to hell (no pun intended).
This is not at all what a 40mm round looks like in mid-flight. This is more like a slow flying RPG round.
A nice shot of the M203 launcher.
This appears to be the rubber prop version pictured above.
Jericho fires a third shot with the red round to shoot Satan when he tries to jump from one train car to the next after Jericho splits them apart. When the round hits him, it doesn't blow up but instead knocks him back onto his train (which would never happen with a 40mm round) and then once he lands in the train, it blows up. Pretty crazy movie logic.
While waiting for Satan in the church, Jericho (Arnold Schwarzenegger) loads the M203 with his fourth and final round. He then decides to trust faith instead and tosses the gun to the ground.

Rifles

IMBEL M964 A1 ParaFAL

Thomas Aquinas (Derrick O'Connor) uses an IMBEL M964 A1 ParaFAL mounted with a scope to try to assassinate The Man (Gabriel Byrne) near the beginning of the film, but Jericho saves the man and gets shot in the vest. While Jericho's vest appears to be soft body armor that would have been pierced by a .308 round, Bobby's knocks on the vest to make it sound like there's a ballistic plate underneath. Aquinas abandons the gun when it malfunctions.
