The Desperado Trail (German title: Winnetou – 3. Teil) is a 1965 German Western film directed by Harald Reinl on based the novel of Karl May. Starring Lex Barker as Old Shatterhand, Pierre Brice as Winnetou, chief of the tribe of the Mescalero Apaches, and Ralf Wolter as Sam Hawkens. Against them stands Rik Battaglia in the role Rollins bandits.
The following weapons were used in the film The Desperado Trail:
Röhm RG34
The gunslingers in the movie are armed with Röhm RG34 revolvers.
Winchester Model 1894
Bandit´s chief Rollins (Rik Battaglia) and his assistant Clark (Ilija Ivezic) used a Winchester Model 1894 rifles.
Martini-Henry Rifle
Woodman Sam Hawkens (Ralf Wolter) and also most Indians wear a Martini-Henry modified rifles.
Harrington & Richardson Pardner
Various characters in movie are armed also a Harrington & Richardson Pardners.
Special "Henry´s 25-wounds rifle"
Old Shatterhand (Lex Barker) is armed with one of his signature weapons, "Henry 25-shot Carbine" (Henrystutzen, as it is called in original novels), made by Mr. Henry, a fictional gunsmith from St. Louis. The screen gun is a custom prop, made specially for the movies, apparently built around Gasser M1870.
