Dead Man's Tale (Chto skazal pokoynik) is a 2000 (filmed 1999) Russian crime comedy TV series, a screen adaptation of the novel "Cale zdanie nieboszczyka" by well known Polish author of crime comedy novels Joanna Chmielewska. Joanna (Marta Klubowicz), a Polish woman living in Denmark, visits an illegal gambling house. Suddenly a shootout happens, and one man who turns out to be an envoy of mafia is mortally wounded. He accidentally mistakes Joanna for another woman who is his contact and in his last words tells her the clue to finding the hidden treasures of the gang. The gangsters notice this, and Joanna is kidnapped and transferred to the gang lair in Brazil. But she's not going to give up so easily.

The following weapons were used in the television series Dead Man's Tale (Chto skazal pokoynik):

Revolvers

Colt Python

"Lame" (Evgeniy Voskresenskiy), one of the trio of gangsters, is armed with a Colt Python in several scenes, set in Brazil.

Pistols

Star Model B

During the raid on the Suzuki's gang base in Brazil, "Bearded" (Vladimir Episkoposyan), another one of the trio of gangsters, is armed with an M1911-style pistol. As the external extractor can be seen, this pistol is most likely a Star Model B. 1911-style pistol, possibly the same prop reused, is also seen in hands of a henchman in the same scene.

Stechkin APB

The gang boss (Oleg Basilashvili) takes a Stechkin APB pistol after he found that Joanna managed to escape from the dungeon of Chaumont-sur-Loire castle. He also holds the pistol in the final episode when French police storms his lair.

Beretta 92F-style pistol

A Beretta 92F-style pistol is seen among the weapons that Joanna found on the Stella di Mare yacht. Judging by the brown plastic grips, uncommon for genuine pistols, it may be some blank-firing or non-firing replica.

Heckler & Koch P7M13

Interpol agent "Shorty" Berkovich (Mamuka Kikaleishvili) carries a compact pistol in shoulder holster. This is a member of Heckler & Koch P7 family, most likely a Heckler & Koch P7M13.

Commissioner Jensen (Oleg Tabakov) hands the pistol back to Berkovich. Note the typical grip of the P7 family.
Berkovich holds his pistol. Judjing by the height of the slide, the pistol seems to be P7M13 rather than P7/P7M8.

Femaru 48M / Walam 48

During the operation against the gang lair, the Interpol agent, credited as "Blue-eyed", (Jan Jankowski) is armed with a suppressed pistol. His pistol resembles some of the post-war guns, inspired by Walther PP. Hungarian 48M (or its export version Walam 48) seems to be a most possible guess. Same looking pistol, without suppressor, is seen in hands of Fernando (Igor Pismenny), the skipper of the gang yacht.

Unidentified pistols

During the interrogation of arrested employees of the illegal gambling house in Copenhagen, the dealer Gilles (Arkadiy Koval) covertly gets a pocket pistol from the fake plumber Gustav (Andrey Butin). Danish Police inspector Jensen (Oleg Tabakov) spots this and disarms Gilles before he could use the gun. The pistol may be a member of a vast family of FN Model 1905.

In a number of scenes various characters hold pistols that are seen briefly, unclear due to fast motion or in distance.

Submachine Guns

OTs-02 Kiparis

"Yellow-faced" (Boris Romanov) fires a OTs-02 Kiparis in the scene in the illegal gambling house in Copenhagen. Similar SMG is seen in hands of an officer of Danish police special unit during the raid on the illegal gambling house.

PP-91-01 Kedr-B

The personnel of Danish police special unit carry PP-91-01 Kedr-B submachine guns during the raid on the illegal gambling house. Judging by the credits, the personnel of the 1st Special Purpose Unit of the Internal Forces "Vityaz" with their service firearms appear in this scene as the Danish police special unit. Kedr-B submachine guns were never used outside Russia but they may be a stand-in for Heckler & Koch MP5SD1/3/4.

Uzi

One of the guards on the gang villa in Brazil is armed with an Uzi. An Uzi (very likely the same prop reused) is seen among the weapons that Joanna found on the Stella di Mare yacht.

Assault Rifles

M16A1

M16A1 assault rifles, fitted with A2 handguards, are seen in hands of the guards on the gang villa in Brazil. Two guns are used, one of those has a white, maybe stainless receiver. In the firing scenes, they are replaced with visually modified Sturmgewehr 44.

In the same scene in the Cordillera, an M16 of unclear model is seen in the jeep. It has the buttstock removed.

An M16 with removed buttstock is seen near "Ponytail".
The receiver of this M16 is seen partially. It may be an A1 but it's too vague to be sure.

Sturmgewehr 44 (visually modified to resemble M16)

Sturmgewehr 44 assault rifles, visually modified with the addition of a carrying handle, a modified front sight and shorter magazines to resemble either the M16 or the AR-10 rifle, are used by the gang, notably by "Ponytail" (Aleksey Buldakov) and "Lame" (Evgeniy Voskresenskiy). These Sturmgewehrs replace the M16s in firing scenes.
