Dark Sun (Original title: Temné slunce) is a 1982 Czech film directed by Otakar Vávra. It is a remake of his film Krakatit (1948). It is a contemporary update of the literary classic Krakatit by Karel Čapek about the absurdity of war and potential abuses of science. Ing. Prokop (Radoslav Brzobohatý) makes a remarkable discovery.
