I think we should have a separate section for disambiguation pages and not include them in the general information category.--SB2296 08:59, 26 April 2010 (UTC)

Movie: "Corky Romano"

if anyone could please make a profile page for the movie "Corky Romano" that would be amazing! i'm sure many people don't find the movie entertaining, it's a comedy and a lot of people don't think it's too funny. But i dont know, i enjoy it. Anyways, there are two guns in the movie that I am particularly interested in, and am not 100% sure as to what they are. In the scene where Corky Romano is a translator for a drug deal going down, I want to know what the two pistols are that the two Asian, drug buyer, and seller, have in there possession. I'm not sure if I broke down that last sentence in a way that most people will understand it but I tried! haha. Anyways, I'm new to the website. And think it's awesome. There are more guns in that movie as well, that I don't know what they are. So i think a lot of "Corky Romano" fans out there would be happy to see all of the awesome guns in that movie!

Hope someone can help me out.. Thanks again!

movie " The Painted Vail"

I recently saw this picture, I can´t find it in the imfdb listing.

In the movie, appears a chinese guard, using a handgun I would like to identify. Curiously, not much seen, it carries a pistol in a wooden shoulder holster ( very similar to the old Mausers or Lugers ), attached to his uniform´belt.

My friends, the page imfdb is more than excelent, allowing me to learn ( and understand ) a lot.

Best regards,

The film is actually titled "The Painted Veil", and would appear on the site if someone made a page for it. --Ben41 16:58, 4 July 2011 (CDT)

Might be a Shansi Type 17? It's a Chinese copy of the famous broomhandle Mauser and had a detachable shoulder stock that could be used as a holster. If it's a more modern-looking pistol it might be a Stechkin APS. Evil Tim 22:01, 4 July 2011 (CDT)

Knives....

I think it would be a excellent to ad a blades/knives category.

History of M16 in movies page

I remember MPM was working on a page titled that and going over the historical use of the AR15/M16 in media (with accompanying info about actual military adoption/usage, etc). It was a WIP last I saw it (I actually saved the page on my other computer) This was a couple years ago now but I thought it was an interesting piece with some unique factoids and photos. Did the page get canned (with the AR ID guide and/or other pages taking it's place) or was it just shelved? StanTheMan (talk) 18:36, 21 July 2013 (EDT)

IMFDB Info: The History of M16s in Film and Television still being worked on I guess. --Funkychinaman (talk) 03:59, 22 July 2013 (EDT)
Ah, thanks FCM - I couldn't find it in my search the other day. Sadly it still seems like it's in the same state as it was before. Of course I know MPM is/gets busy so that's cool, plus going into the 90s would be a bit daunting to catalog for that page.. whoo, better MPM than me. ;) StanTheMan (talk) 13:56, 22 July 2013 (EDT)
Sadly, unlike his movie pages, which other people can complete, this looks like something only MPM can finish. --Funkychinaman (talk) 14:10, 22 July 2013 (EDT)
