Tony Scott (1944 - 2012) was a noted action film director who also was the brother of director Ridley Scott. In addition to directing such films as Top Gun and Crimson Tide, he and his brother formed a production company that was responsible for producing several television series and miniseries including Numb3rs and The Andromeda Strain as well as the 2010 film adaptation of The A-Team. Tony Scott's life ended tragically when he jumped off a bridge in Los Angeles in August of 2012.
