CSI: Crime Scene Investigation

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation was the long-running CBS crime procedural series that followed teams of crime scene investigators who work in the city of Las Vegas for the "Las Vegas Police Department" (in reality, the department is known as the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department). CSI became a big success for the CBS network and would spawn three spin-off in the ensuing years: CSI: Miami, CSI: NY, and CSI: Cyber. The main cast up until Season 8 included Dr. Gil Grissom (William Petersen), Captain Jim Brass (Paul Guilfoyle), Sara Sidle (Jorja Fox), Catherine Willows (Marg Helgenberger), and Nick Stokes (George Eads). In the more recent seasons, several new CSI's were added, including Dr. Ray Langston (Laurence Fishburne), Julie Finlay (Elisabeth Shue), and D.B. Russell (Ted Danson, who later would join the cast of CSI: Cyber). CSI premiered in the US on CBS in 2000 and finished its last full season in the spring of 2015 and officially ended with a two-hour "television event" that aired in September of 2015.
