The Bullet Vanishes is a 2012 Chinese-Hong Kong detective drama directed by Chi-Leung Law. 1930s China. Captain Guo Zhui and Inspector Song Donglu investigate a series of strange murders at a bullet factory when the bullets used in the murders seemingly disappear.

This movie also known as Ghost Bullets and Disappeared Bullets

The following weapons were used in the movie The Bullet Vanishes

Revolvers

Webley .455 Mk V

Webley .455 Mk V is Guo Zhui's and Boss Ding's (Kai Chi Liu) personal weapon. Song Donglu also uses it.

Webley MK. V - .455 Webley
In the opening scene, bullet factory female worker commits God's judgment (Russian roulette variant)
Guo Zhui fires his Webley .455 Mk V

Webley .455 Mk V open for loading
Revolver open and loaded
Note the cartridges are not .455 caliber. They are much smaller and there is a visible gap between shells and revolver cylinder chamber
Song Donglu holds a Webley .455 Mk V
Guo Zhui commits God's judgment

Enfield No.2

Enfield No.2 Wang Hai's personal weapon. Guo Zhui also uses this revolver during the chase through the city (probably a continuity error)

Enfield No. 2 Mk I. Original configuration with spurred hammer - .38 S&W
Guo Zhui fires an Enfield No.2
Wang Hai fires a nickel-plated Enfield No.2 at his arm
Note a muzzle-sight is missing

Pieper Revolver

Robber pianist can be seen armed with the Pieper revolver. This is not an original Belgian Pieper Bayard but rather a Spanish copy as original Pieper M1889 and M1893 revolvers have distinctive raised rear part of the frame while the screen gun has more flat top.

WWI Spanish/French Model 1915 revolver - 8mm. Copy of the Belgian Pieper made in Spain for the French and Romanian military.
For comparison: Belgian Pieper Bayard M1889 revolver.
Note the shape of the rear part of the frame, it's less raised than on Belgian Pieper.

Submachine Guns

M1928A1 Thompson

Boss Ding and some of his mobsters use M1928A1 Thompson submachine guns without Cutts compensators and with smooth barrels

M1928A1 Thompson with 50-round drum magazine, smooth barrel, and early 'simplified' rear sight that would be adopted for the M1 Thompson - .45 ACP. The in-movie version does not have a Cutts compensator.
Boss Ding fires his Thompson
Note this Thompson has blank fire adapted barrel smaller than .45 caliber
Boss Ding's mob fires his M1928A1 Thompson. Note simplified rear sight
Same episode. But SMG is other (rear sight is not simplified)

Sten Mk II

Boss Ding's mobsters use Sten Mk II submachine guns with lengthened barrels. The Sten was not available in China until at least a decade after the film took place.
