In the Bugsy extended cut, Bugsy (Warren Beatty) considers shooting himself with his Colt Model 1903 Pocket Hammerless after murdering Harry Greenberg (Elliott Gould). After putting it in his mouth and failing to pull the trigger, he places the gun down and begins to write a suicide note. Virginia Hill (Annette Bening) then picks it up and fires a few shots at random around the house after the two struggle with it. The pistol is even shown to somehow break a piano leg, causing the whole piano to fall to the ground, with a single .32 caliber bullet. After working out a jam in the gun, Virginia is able to fire one more shot before uselessly clicking the trigger and then handing it back to Bugsy.
