Bodeo Model 1889 Type II - 10.4x22mm Italian

The Bodeo Model 1889 revolver was invented by Italian firearm designer Carlo Bodeo. Based on the Chamelot-Delvigne Model 1873 revolver, it was produced by a wide variety of manufacturers between 1889 and 1925. It was also produced in Spain from 1915 to 1918. The Bodeo Model 1889 was employed by the Italian Army during World War I, the Interwar Italian colonial wars, and World War II.

The Bodeo Model 1889 is similar to the Russian Nagant M1895, but has some unique features. The most notable being the loading gate; the loading gate on the Nagant revolver swings out, while on the Bodeo it swings back.

A few models of the Bodeo Model 1889 exist: a "Trooper" model with a folding trigger and without a trigger guard, an "Officer" model with a non-folding trigger and a trigger guard, and a third model similar to the "Officer" model but with a shorter round barrel.
