Like many anime, Black Lagoon is a manga, currently still running. The anime lasted 2 short seasons before ending once it caught up with the manga.

__TOC__<br clear=all>

The story takes places in the 1990s and follows Okajima Rokuro, an ordinary Japanese businessman who's happened to have mixed himself up with a band of mercenaries in the South China sea. Unable to return home, "Rock" joined this "company" in their many variety of missions, which may involve violent firefights, hand-to-hand combat, or nautical battles in various Southeast Asian locations, and when not doing much, the members of the Lagoon Company spend much of their down time at The Yellow Flag, a bar in the fictional city of Roanapur, Thailand.

The weapons of choice for the main female character, Revy are twin modified Beretta 92FS Inox model pistols, which are stainless steel and have a 5.9 inch barrel and slide configuration, 1 inch longer than any standard Beretta 92 model. They are engraved with "9mm Sword Cutlass", the Jolly Roger of the famous pirate Calico Jack (which is also inlaid into the ivory grips), and an inscription in Thai. Revy calls it the "Praiyachat Sword Cutlass Special". Due to Revy's ambidextrous marksmanship skills, she is nicknamed "Two Hands" by the people of Roanapur. Revy always wears her Cutlass pistols from double cross-draw shoulder holsters and almost always draws them simultaneously to lay down an incredible rate of suppressing fire.

Rebeccca "Revy" Lee uses dual "Sword Cutlass" pistols as her personal sidearms. They're customized Beretta 92F pistols with a 5.9 inch barrel and slide configuration, 1 inch longer than any standard Beretta 92 model. They are engraved with "9mm Sword Cutlass", the Jolly Roger of the famous pirate Calico Jack (which is also inlaid into the ivory grips), and the Thai inscription "ผลิตโดยพลายชาติ สเป็คพิเศษ", meaning "Manufactured by Praiyachat - Special Specs". Praiyachat, a Thai gunsmith, is a character in the show.

Glock 17L
 +
A Glock 17L is used by Eda as her main sidearm in the season. A Colombian cartel soldato uses it in "Maid to Kill".

This seemed to be based off the Luger P08 Artillery Model Pistol and was seen used by one of the Aryan soldiers, but was never fired. It was seen cocked twice for some odd reason since the character already cocked it once in a previous scene. The unique Luger seen was apparently a custom built firearm with a gold finish, an artillery length barrel and chambered for .454 Casull rounds. The Soldier referred to the gun as "the Eiserne Reich Luger Special". He also mentions features for the gun such as a "two bullet chamber" which don't entirely make sense, but the endless ranting matches the profile of a supremacist who does nothing but talk of the greatness of what he holds, both in his hand and heart, his dark, misguided heart.

For some odd reason, the crime lord of the Triad in the Roanapur wields 2 of these Beretta 76 light caliber handguns as he did with his 1911s. The gun is chambered for .22 LR. These were seen only once when Chang fought off Gretel's firing and drove her off. His pistols could most likely be just based on the look of a Beretta 76 since in the anime it had custom pearl grips with dragons engraved on them and the Chinese word "Tentai", which means "Heavenly King" but the manga specifically stated they were .22LRs.

Ruger Blackhawk Single Action Revolver
A Ruger Blackhawk was used by the Japanese character Chaka, who fancied himself as some kind of wild west gunman and wasn't a horrible shot with this old style pistol. It was later destroyed when Ginji sliced it up with his superhuman strength and sword. From the looks of it, Chaka's Ruger has a rear end sight. In this case it is not a Single Action Army; it is Ruger's base on an SAA.

Sistema Colt Modelo 1927
Used by one of the more interesting characters in the series, Roberta, a former FARC guerrilla trained as an assassin. This is one of the many guns she has, of which she has two. The Sistema Colt 1927 is Argentina's adoption of the US made 1911s in 1927. It's essentially a Colt 1911, just made in Argentina and given a new name. It makes sense for Roberta to carry this weapon since she is from South America.

This was used in the last episode once by Balilaika when she asked her Yakuza equalivent in Japan to oblige her with his guard's weapon to see their readiness on guns. Rock translates from English to Japanese and gets handed first this basic looking handgun. She laughs and calls it an "atrocious" gun. On closer inspection it looked like the artist drew "Picatinny Rails" along the top of the slide (which are actually anti-glare serrations). She kills the Yakuza boss and his guard with it, and comments that it was actually a good weapon to use and tossed it to Rock as a gift, who in the end declines it and tosses it away.

It was fired in semi-auto since Roberta was holding her suitcase in the other hand which contained many other weapons.

These are the weapons, obviously the AK47, used by almost every faction in the entire anime. Symbolism to the obvious prolific nature of the imfamous Assault Rifle. It has been used by all the mafia groups, but more or less seen more prominently by the Russian group, Hotel Moscow, a group comprised mainly of ex-Russian Special Forces, a lot of them veterans of the war in Afghanistan during the late 80s. The main weapon seen as a standard are the AKs that uses the 5.45mm rounds mostly AK-74s, sometimes 74Us and even current models. There is one depiction of an SVD like weapon with a large magazine capacity, but it could just be a mistake in drawing, or it could might as well be a custom long barrel AK-47 with a scope attached to it. The actual SVD has been seen used by the leader of Hotel Moscow in her days in the Afgan war and by her men later on. While the other groups are seen with usually AK-47 and its variants, Hotel Moscow is seen more with the AK-74, AKS-74, and AK-74Us among other Russian weapons.

An APS Underwater Assault Rifle was used once as one of those exotic 15 minutes of fame kind of guns that makes a "guest" appearence in an episode. This rifle was given to Revy from Dutch at the end of one episode for an underwater mission to retrieve a precious painting from a sunken Nazi submarine that ended up in the South Pacific. Revy fired the weapon inside the sub against the Neo-Nazis that also were after this prize. Since the weapon was designed to function both above and under water, the weapon was still able to function properly in the air-filled submarine. She later fired the gun underwater at two divers on the surface next to the pod, which is what the APS Underwater was designed for.

Have yet to get a picture of this weapon Revy uses once in episode 11. I know it's a Remington because she says in on screen and also mentions a type of ammo called Hydra API(Armor Piercing Incendiary). Whatever it is, it has a wooden frame, a very basic look to it. Nothing special almost like a hunting rifle. Attached was a scope, maybe a 10x. The Anime has her fire two shots from the gun while in scoped view, without any bolt action sounds, but there is spacing between the shots, so the sound reception for the viewer could just be at a distance.

This was one of the speciality weapons used in the series to show a more personal aspect in how an assassin and her choice of gun is. This awesome weapon of the past is used by Gretel, the girl twin of a very disturbing pair of assassins. Because it's an anime, the artists several times drew the BAR to be extremely bigger than the user to show how freakishly strong she is. Apparently she uses the M1918A3 model introduced in 1940.

The ARWEN 37 is a less-lethal launcher which fires 37 mm less-lethal rounds (foam or wooden or tear gas payload) designed for riot control. It has a 5-round rotary drum magazine. The real version was designed in 1977 by the British Royal Small Arms Factory (RSAF) Enfield, then part of the Royal Ordnance Factories. It came out of a British Military request for a multi-shot riot control weapon. Three prototypes were designed and tested: a semi-automatic weapon, a rotary-drum weapon, and a pump-action weapon. Pistols

AMT Hardballer

Beretta 92F "Sword Cutlass"

The Beretta 92FS features a small cut on the slide just left of the slide rails. This means the gun, which lacks such cut, is a 92F.
