Baa Baa Black Sheep (1976-1978)

Baa Baa Black Sheep was a World War II television series that aired from 1976-1978 on NBC and was inspired by the exploits of Marine fighter ace Greg "Pappy" Boyington. The series starred Robert Conrad as Boyington as he led a group of misfit Marine fighter pilots who came to be known as the "Black Sheep". The show also went under the name "Black Sheep Squadron".

Type 89 "Knee Mortar" (technically grenade launchers) are used by Japanese forces in various episodes.

Type 89 "Knee Mortar". In reality it was translated as "Leg Mortar" but poor translation changed it to Knee. This resulted in many GIs trying out captured ones by firing them from the knee, which led to multiple injuries.
