The Apple Dumpling Gang is western comedy film from Walt Disney. Traveling gambler Russell Donovan finds himself saddled with three orphans and stuck in the small former mining town of Quake City, California. Meanwhile, the “Hashknife Outfit” of Theodore and Amos have little luck in their criminal ways.

Handguns

Single Action Army

Cavalry Model

Theodore Ogelvie (Don Knotts) uses a what appears to be an old rusty Single Action Army that fails rather spectacularly during a robbery attempt. Herm Dally (Bing Russell) also uses a Cavalry model.

Artillery Model

Homer McCoy (Harry Morgan) uses a Single Action Army Artillery model with pearl grips. Rudy Hooks (Dennis Fimple) and Clemons (Pepe Callahan) also carry the Artillery model.

Colt 1862 Navy Cartridge Conversion

Amos Tucker (Tim Conway) wields what appears to be a Colt 1862 Navy Cartridge Conversion with ejector, nickel finish and ivory grips.

Luckily for Theodore, they have "no lead to throw and no powder to throw it with", suggesting their weapons are cap & ball.
