A Man Before His Time (Prezhdevremennyy chelovek) is a Soviet 1972 (filmed 1971) drama directed by Abram Room and based on the theater play "Yakov Bogomolov" by Maxim Gorky. The main character, engineer Yakov Bogomolov (Igor Kvasha) passionately gives himself to his work, barely noticing what is happening around him. His young wife Olga (Anastasia Vertinskaya) cheats on him, friends betray, and business companions deceive.

The following weapons were used in the film A Man Before His Time (Prezhdevremennyy chelovek):

Smith & Wesson .44 Double Action

In one scene Boris Ladygin (Valentin Smirnitskiy) uses a Smith & Wesson .44 Double Action revolver for entertaining bottle shooting. On screen the revolver is used as single action, likely because of its considerable wear. This nickel plated revolver with pearl grips appears to be the same weapon that is seen in a number of Mosfilm productions, like Shvedskaya spichka, Semeynoe schastye, Zemlya Sannikova, and Zhestokiy romans.

FN Model 1900

Millionaire Nikon Bukeyev (Aleksandr Kalyagin) shots himself with an FN Model 1900. This nickel plated pistol is possibly same gun, seen in several other Mosfilm productions, like Beshenoe zoloto and Krakh operatsii "Terror".
