A Good Day to Die Hard is the fifth installment in the long-running Die Hard film franchise. Bruce Willis returns as John McClane, who travels to Moscow to look for his estranged son Jack (Jai Courtney), only to get caught up in another terrorist plot that the two must find a way to thwart. Directed by John Moore (Behind Enemy Lines and Max Payne), the film was mostly shot in Budapest, Hungary and was released in the US on February 14th, 2013.

Jack McClane takes a 12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun from the trunk of the gun they stole from the chechen nightclub, and hands it to John, calling it "old school". The shotgun is called a "pirate gun" by John as well.

Steyr AUG A3

Alik (Radivoje Bukvic) and his henchmen wield Steyr AUG A3s assault rifles with 16-inch barrels and various accessories including EOTech sights and M203A1 grenade launchers. Director John Moore mentioned in the Blu-ray commentary how the Steyr has a history going back to the original Die Hard, as the original model was wielded by Karl in that film.

Gryazev-Shipunov GSh-30-2

A Mi-24P "Hind-F" attack helicopter can be seen opening fire with its Gryazev-Shipunov GSh-30 autocannons. An Mi-26 helicopter also is seen armed with the cannons. At one point during production, the autocannon was used with live ammunition on a military firing range to capture shots of accurate weapon damage.
