M16A2 Rifle
One US Army soldier aboard a Humvee at Yellowstone National Park is armed with a M16A2 rifle.
Remington 870
One Remington 870 shotgun was seen in the hands of a U.S. Army soldier at Yellowstone National Park, with spare shotshell holders on the side of the receiver.
Norinco QBZ-95
Chinese PLA soldiers are armed with Norinco QBZ-95 rifles in Tibet as well as at the Ark launch docks in Cho Ming. Since most of the movie was filmed in Vancouver, Canada, it is quite possible that the QBZ-95's 5.56mm NATO cousin, the Norinco QBZ-97, was used as a "stand-in" for the QBZ-95.
