Code Name Coq Rouge (Täcknamn Coq Rouge) is a 1998 Swedish thriller directed by Per Berglund starring Stellan Skarsgård as Swedish spy Carl Hamilton. It was based on Jan Guillou's novel Coq Rouge, the first in the Hamilton series. The film contains a number of relatively large changes of the plot and characters.
Either party of the Middle East conflict is planning a terror attack in Sweden, the question is who and where. A CIA trained agent - the cover name Coq Rouge - aka Carl Hamilton, a lieutenant in the Royal Swedish Navy, is assigned to the case.
