This film is based on the real events of the École Polytechnique massacre, in which Marc Lépine shot and killed 14 people.
Ruger Mini-14
"The Killer" Marc Lépine or (Maxim Gaudette) uses a Ruger Mini-14 throughout the shooting. In real life, Marc Lépine did use a Ruger Mini-14.
