The following weapons were used in the film The Sniper:
The Sniper is a 2009 Hong Kong action thriller film directed by Dante Lam and starring Richie Ren, Edison Chen and Huang Xiaoming, as top snipers for the Hong Kong Police Force. The film was originally set to be released in May 2008, but was delayed due to the Edison Chen photo scandal. The following images are from the commercially available Hong Kong Released DVD.
Hand Guns
The following lists the handguns used by the Hong Kong Police, Hong Kong SDU, and the Triads (not too sure what affiliation the bad guys are).
Smith & Wesson Model 10
Seen in the hands of OJ before he joined the SDU Sniper unit, OJ's inexperienced rookie partner, Hartman during the rescue scene and the Hong Kong PTU officers.
SIG-Sauer P228
Seen in the hands of Hartman Fong (Richie Ren) during the opening stakeout scene. He uses it to save OJ when OJ had trouble trying to deal with several machete wielding Triads.
Beretta 92FS
Carried by Er Ge's boss.
Walther P99
Carried by Er Ge (Big Head)(Kai Chi Liu) during the elevator scene, later drops it when shot in the arm by OJ. Hartman also manages to obtain one during the elevator scene.
Glock 17
Seen briefly in the hands of Ching during the elevator scene. Surprisingly Ching also demonstrates his fast reloading skills when using the Glock 17
Walther PP
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch MP5
Used by the SDU during a hostage situation accidently caused by Hartman Fong who attempted to follow Ching but encountered Er Ge and his boss which the ladder resulted in. It is also used by one of the Hong Kong PTU officers guarding the prison convoy and another officer during the apartment shootout.
Heckler & Koch MP9
Used by one of Er Ge's henchmen.
Assault Rifles
Micro Galil
Used by Er Ge (Big Head)(Kai Chi Liu) during the rescue scene.
Shotguns
Remington 870
Seen in the hands of the Hong Kong PTU.
Sniper Rifles
Heckler & Koch PSG1
It is a fake 'build up' PSG1 (much like the SR9TC rifles in Hollywood), created by putting long barrel (note that it is slimmer than a real PSG heavy barrel), or a barrel sleeve extender, along with the recognizable forearm, buttstock and pistol grip on a standard HK91/G3 body. A build up like this would cost under $1000, whereas a real German PSG-1 sells for $10,000 - $35,000.
Tokyo Marui PSG1 (AEG)
M700
Primary weapon for Shane (Bowie Lam) one of Hartman Fong's SDU Sniper teammates.
This is a picture of the Accuracy International AE Mk 1, as used by Fang Keming a.k.a. Hartman (Richie Ren). The AI AE Mk 1 is no longer produced, it has been succeeded by the AI AE Mk 2 (http://www.accuracyinternational.com/ae_series.php)
