History

Made in Leningrad plant No. 181, Soviet Union. Intended as a successor to the TT-33 pistol, but ultimately abandoned. Of an originally planned 15 pistols, only 14 were ever made due to lack of parts. Only 3 pistols survive, those numbered 1,2 and 5, all of which are at the Central Naval Museum of St. Petersburg. The Makarov PM pistol officially succeeded the TT-33.
