Uprising44: The Silent Shadows
Uprising44: The Silent Shadows is a Polish third person shooter with real time strategy elements.
The player plays as Jimmy, a member of a fictional clandestine paratrooper unit called "The Silent Shadows" who are deployed into Warsaw to try to assist the ill-fated Warsaw Uprising.
The player has three weapon slots, handguns, machine guns and rifles using their own slots and all of them share ammo with weapons in the same slot.
Pistols
The following weapons appear in the video game Uprising44: The Silent Shadows:
Luger P08
The Luger P08 appears as a pistol only used in cutscenes by German troops and by friendly invulnerable NPCs. Despite a description popping up in a scene where a Polish fighter talks about his luger, it is not usable by the player.
Walther P38
The Walther P38 is the pistol used by German troops and can be taken from them.
Vis wz. 35
The Polish Vis wz. 35 Radom pistol appears as the player's starting pistol, misnamed as the "Vis wz. 28" and while allies use it, the starting vis Wz. 35 is the only one available for the player as there aren't any pickups for it. An bug causes the player's pistol to become unloaded after every loading screen, meaning they'll have to reload it once they switch to it. (And those loaded bullets promptly being lost next loading screen.)
Submachine Guns
Błyskawica
The Błyskawica submachine gun appears in an official cover-art mockup (as the game was digital only) being held alongside the Vis wz. 35. It doesn't appear in-game.
MP40
The MP 40 appears being used by German troops and can be picked up by the player.
Sten Mk II
The Sten Mk II is the player's starting submachine gun, found only once on a dead resistance fighter in the game's intro mission.
M1928 Thompson
What appears to be the M1928 Thompson appears in chapter 5 where it is found during the opening defensive battle. It is not used by an NPCs
Rifles
Karabiner 98k
The Karabiner 98k appears as the only rifle of the game in both scoped and unscoped variations. The scoped version is only usable briefly in an early game chapter, it cannot be fired without scoping in and is replaced with a regular Karabiner 98k afterwards. The rifle notably has no animation for the bolt when firing, meaning characters use it like a slow-firing semi-auto rifle (though the bolt is heard as part of the firing sound) with the reload animation being the only time characters mime using it. (and seemingly only back and forwards without inserting any rounds.)
kb ppanc wz.35
"The Dove" carries a kb ppanc wz.35 with a scope. He uses it as an NPC companion during TPS sections and can only be used indirectly during RTS sections to take out a single enemy with a cooldown.
Sturmgewehr 44
The Sturmgewehr 44 appears midway through the game, in a cutscene where a German soldier appears with it and is taken out and afterwards can be picked up by the player with it occupying the submachine gun slot. Oddly, this is the only appearance of the Sturmgewehr 44, no enemies carry it nor are there any pickups for it after this point and it shares the Kar98k's "reload" animation of using a now non-existant bolt.
Machine Guns
Rkm wz. 28 Browning
The Rkm wz. 28 Browning appears being used by friendly NPCs in RTS sections. Since friendly NPCs are either invincible or don't drop their weapons when killed in scripted scenes, it's only available to the player near the end of chapter 4. Once again like the STG 44, it goes in the submachine gun slot (so it shares ammo with the submachine guns) and uses the Kar98k's bolt animation for reloading. Considering the shared animations and (in real life) ammo, one wonders why the Rkm wz. 28 Browning was not put in the "Rifle" weapon catagory with the Karabiner 98k instead of submachine gun catagory.
Explosives and Grenades
Dynamite
Dynamite is acquired by Jimmy after sneaking into a ammo warehouse, it is then planted on specific targets throughout the rest of the game and one of the RTS sections has the player manually detonating pre-placed dynamite.
Model 24 Stielhandgranate
The Model 24 Stielhandgranate appears as the game's grenade, no NPCs use it and it's only available from ammo resupply crates, which give the player grenades with a max limit of 2 or 1 depending on the box.
Nebelhandgranate 39
The Nebelhandgranate 39 is thrown in a scripted event by German troops in chapter 2 for one battle.
RPzB 54 Panzerschreck
The RPzB 54 Panzerschreck appears as the sole rocket launcher of the game, it is not usable by the player and only appears being used by German troops in the RTS sections.
