Possession (1981)

Possession is a 1981 horror movie starring Isabelle Adjani, Sam Neill and Margit Carstensen. Directed by Andrzej Żuławski, written by Andrzej Żuławski and Frederic Tuten. Anna (Adjani) begins displaying an odd behavior shortly after asking her husband, Mark (Neil), for a divorce. Mark quits his job, dedicating himself towards his family. As he tries to make amends however, he beings discovering something much bigger and more sinister than adultery.

The following weapons were used in the film Possession:

Pistols

Walther PPK

Zimmermann (Shaun Lawton) carries a Walther PPK under his suit. He looses it shortly after deploying it, being carried by Mark for the rest of the movie.

The PPK is held high. Note the length of the barrel.
A uniformed officer is briefly seen with a PPK.

Revolvers

Unidentifiable revolver

A revolver is deployed by one of the shooters during the final moments of the movie. The scene is too dark and the gun too far to discern distinguishable features. Likely a Smith & Wesson Model 36 or a Colt Detective Special as both were very popular at the time.

A hammer is visible (eliminating hammerless and shrouded hammer models) but unfortunately no other distinguishing features are visible.
The revolver in a brighter scene, but too far to identify.

Submachine guns

H&K MP5

Uniformed officials are seen carrying H&K MP5 briefly.

H&K MP5A5 (9x19mm). Not specifically the version depicted in the movie, but an aproximation based on what can be seen.
The shape of the magazine combined with the setting (West Berlin, West Germany) indicates that the poorly visible gun is an MP5.
