Most Ugandan soldiers are seen with Sterling SMG weapons, which some of them was threatening the main charachter with.

In a hanger after the attempted assassination of Idi Amin, one of Amin's soldier's is holding a VZ-58 which can be easily identified by the unique bolt which is much different from that of an AK-47 (though the two rifles are often confused by those unaware of the existence of the VZ-58).
