I caught the first two episodes. It was nice seeing Robinette and Melnick again, even though Melnick was still a grade-A bitch. I don't know why they chose to make the lead the son of Ben Stone, seeing there's almost zero chance Michael Moriarty would ever make an appearance. It seems like a wasted opportunity, why not make him related to someone who might actually show up? (The nephew of Jack McCoy?) Did Dick Wolf and Michael Moriarty patch things up?
