The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (1974)

The Taking of Pelham One Two Three is a 1974 thriller based on a best selling novel and stars Walter Matthau as a lieutenant of the New York Transit Authority who deals with the hijacking of the subway train designated as "Pelham 123". A remake starring Denzel Washington and directed by Tony Scott was released in 2009.

Revolvers
Colt Detective Special
Mr. Green (Martin Balsam) and Mr. Brown (Earl Hindman) each carry a Colt Detective Special while taking over the subway train. The undercover NYPD officer also uses a Detective Special, drawn from an ankle holster, when he shoots at the hijackers after jumping off the train. Transit Authority Lt. Rico Patrone (Jerry Stiller) also keeps a Detective Special in a holster on his belt.
Colt Official Police
Transit Authority Patrolman James (Nathan George) carries a Colt Official Police revolver, identified by its front sight, medium frame, and ejector rod.
Smith & Wesson Model 10 Snub
Transit Authority Lt. Zachary Garber (Walter Matthau) uses a Smith & Wesson Model 10 Snub when confronting Mr. Blue.
Pistols
Star Model B
Mr. Blue (Robert Shaw) draws a Star Model B when commandeering the subway train from the motorman, Denny Doyle, and when approaching the wounded undercover NYPD officer. This weapon alternates between the Star and a Browning Hi-Power, seen in both scenes.
Browning Hi-Power
Whenever Mr. Blue (Robert Shaw) fires his pistol in the film (shown as a Star Model B), it becomes a Browning Hi-Power.
Shotguns
High Standard Model 10
Several NYPD officers surrounding the train in the subway tunnels carry High Standard Model 10B bullpup-style shotguns with carry handles.
Winchester Model 1897
Several NYPD officers surrounding the train in the subway tunnels carry Winchester Model 1897 pump shotguns.
Ithaca 37
An NYPD officer seen near Inspector Daniels at the 28th Street subway station has an Ithaca 37.
Submachine Guns
Smith & Wesson M76
All the hijackers, Mr. Blue (Robert Shaw), Mr. Green (Martin Balsam), Mr. Grey (Hector Elizondo), and Mr. Brown (Earl Hindman), carry and fire Smith & Wesson M76 submachine guns throughout the film.
