SEAL Team Six: The Raid On Osama Bin Laden is a 2012 drama that dramatizes the raid by US Navy SEALs on the Bin Laden compound in 2011. Unlike the similar-themed Zero Dark Thirty, this film focuses primarily on the mission itself and its participants. Originally titled Code Name: Geronimo, the film was directed by John Stockwell and is scheduled to be released on the National Geographic channel at the end of October 2012.
The following weapons were used in the film SEAL Team Six: The Raid On Osama Bin Laden:
Rifles
Heckler & Koch HK416
The majority of the US Navy SEALs seen in the film are armed with Heckler & Koch HK416 carbines, notably seen during training as well as the actual raid on the Bin Laden compound. The rifles are fitted with suppressors, EOTech sights and AN/PEQ-15 APITALs.
Shotgun
Benelli M4
Another weapon used by the SEALs is the Benelli M4.
SIG-Sauer P226
The SIG-Sauer P226 is the sidearm carried by many of the SEALs in the film.
