::Quick answer: You can't unless you're holding the gun in your hands and you inspect all the markings and SNs.  BTW: I wasn't the originator of that background on Nash's gun, but I have no reason to doubt it.  Apparently the info came (in some fashion) from the gun's builder, but other than that, it would be impossible visually to know that it is a Springfield frame via screenshot. Quick answer: You can't unless you're holding the gun in your hands and you inspect all the markings and SNs. BTW: I wasn't the originator of that background on Nash's gun, but I have no reason to doubt it.
