:::Maybe it's a sawed down Model 24/43 that he made for the purpose of suicide, I can't imagine such a weapon like that with a purpose on the battlefield. --[[Special:Contributions/96.244.252.231|96.244.252.231]] 02:51, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

The short shaft makes me think it might not be a Stielhandgranate, but one of the various other versions. The German "potato masher" was 14 inches long, this Bulgarian one is 11 inches with a much bigger percentage of that the head:

And it's also possible it might be a Finnish M41 or even a Japanese grenade handle. Regardless, it looks like he's killing himself using just the detonator; this should project outside the grenade body, which supports the idea that this is something he made himself. Unknown Grenade

I don't have time to research this properly. Does anyone know who this character/actor is and what this grenade type is? It doesn't have a head like most of the known German grenades.

Unscrewing cap.
Pulls out arming wire.
Holds primed grenade to his head.

I don't want to add this to the main page until I'm sure. - Gunmaster45

Confirmation would be appreciated ;) - Gunmaster45
