Sledge Hammer! was a show. More to come.
The following guns were used in the television series Sledge Hammer! (1986):
Handguns
Smith & Wesson Model 629
Inspector Sledge Hammer (David Rasche) carries a Smith & Wesson Model 629 as his sidearm. The revolver is arguably the star of the show, as it gets the vast majority of the screen time during the opening credits. The plastic grips have the image of a sledge hammer on each side. Hammer talks to it sometimes, but when people catch him doing it, he always denies it.
Browning Hi-Power
A thief (Robert Hallak) uses a Browning Hi-Power during a convenience store robbery in "Hammer Gets Nailed" (S01E02), but Hammer takes it away and hands it to his partner, Detective Dori Doreau (Anne-Marie Martin).
Heckler & Koch P7
Francine Flambo (Judie Aronson), the mayor's daughter, uses a Heckler & Koch P7M8 on Hammer and Doreau in the first episode "Under the Gun." (John Vernon reprises his role from Dirty Harry as the mayor of San Francisco in this episode.)
AMT Hardballer Longslide
Kidnappers are shown with AMT Hardballer Longslides.
Ruger Security Six
Feliz Navidad also uses a Ruger Security Six.
Smith & Wesson Model 29
Hammer's ex-partner John Kogan (Jack Thibeau) uses a Smith & Wesson Model 29 as his sidearm in "They Shoot Hammers, Don't They?" (S01E04).
Smith & Wesson Model 60
Captain Trunk (Harrison Page) carries a Smith & Wesson Model 60 as his sidearm.
M1911-type
Assassins carry M1911-type pistols when they try to kill Hammer in "Witless" (S01E03).
Taurus Model 65
Officer Lenny (John Milford) tries to collect the bounty on Hammer with a Taurus Model 65 in "Witless" (S01E03).
Submachine Guns
Uzi
Kidnappers are also armed with Uzi submachine guns. Hammer's "Maninote" friends also use them after finding them in Hammer's overnight bag.
Shotguns
Ithaca 37
A police officer is armed with an Ithaca 37 during the sniper standoff.
Rifles/Carbines
Winchester Model 1866 "Yellow Boy"
Hammer coerces a confession from a suspect (Don Stark) using a Winchester Model 1866 "Yellow Boy".
Armalite AR-18
One of the mob assassins uses a Armalite AR-18 when they try to kill Hammer in "Witless" (S01E03).
Steyr AUG
One of the mob assassins uses a Steyr AUG when they try to kill Hammer in "Witless" (S01E03).
M16A1
John Kogan (Jack Thibeau) uses a M16A1 during his rampage in "They Shoot Hammers, Don't They?" (S01E04).
Heavy Weapons/Explosives
M72 LAW
Hammer uses a M72 LAW rocket launcher to take down a sniper. (Or more specifically, to take down the building that the sniper is on top of.)
M67 Hand Grenade
Hammer routinely keeps M67 hand grenades in his pocket.
Mk 2 Hand Grenade
Isadora (Ann Ryerson) finds a Mk 2 Hand Grenade (and several pairs of sunglasses) in Hammer's bag.
