Mayor of Kingstown is an American crime thriller streaming television series co-created by Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon. Existing in the same universe as Sheridan's other television project Yellowstone, the series is set in the fictional economically depressed city of Kingstown, Michigan, where the primary business is seven for-profit prisons. Jeremy Renner stars as Mike McLusky, a liaison between the prisons, law enforcement, prisoners, and criminal factions of Kingstown. Placed in a unique position as a major powerbroker and unofficial "mayor" of the violent, corrupt city, Mike is forced to take drastic measures to maintain some semblance of peace. The cast includes Dianne Wiest, Aidan Gillen, and Taylor Handley in addition to series co-creator Dillon, who appears in the series as Kingstown PD Detective Ian Ferguson. The series premiered on November 14, 2021, on the streaming service Paramount+.
