'''Jan Tríska''' is a Czech-American actor. Born on 4 November 1936 in Prague. He was originally a dancer, graduated from the Theatre Academy (''DAMU'') and became the youngest ever member of the National Theatre.  Jan established himself also as a film and television actor. He enrolled in the minds of viewers especially roles in in movies such as [[A Star Called Wormwood (Hvezda zvaná Pelynek)]] (1964) or in TV series [[30 Cases of Major Zeman]]. Lent his voice for movie roles of cast by [[Jean-Paul Belmondo]]. After the signing of ''Charta 77'', was forced to emigrate. In the U.S., they have established themselves as the devil Woland in a dramatization of Bulgakov's novel ''The Master and Margarita''. Worked with directors such as Peter Brook, Peter Sellars, Anatoly Efros or [[Warren Beatty]]. In films of Milos Forman played the little roles - as the reporter in ''Ragtime'' (1981) or shooter in the film [[The People vs. Larry Flynt]] (1996). Collaborated on a series [[Highlander: The Raven]] (1998). In the same year he starred with [[Robert De Niro]] and [[Jean Reno]] in the movie [[Ronin]] (1998). In 1991 the film has shot director Jan Svěrák movie ''Obecná škola'' (1991)  and Jan Triska got the chance to create a central figure of the teacher. To him and all the crew earned an ''Oscar'' nomination for best foreign language film. Later received a second nomination with [[Zelary]] (2003). His yet last role was  the bishop in the action thriller [[Hranari]] (2011). Jan Triska is currently living in Los Angeles, where his wife, actress Karla Chadimová leads the luxury restaurant at the Bel Air. He has two daughters.
