The Tiger and the Snow is a 2005 Italian romantic comedy film written, directed by, and starring Roberto Benigni. It largely is set in Iraq during the Coalition invasion there circa April 2003.
The following weapons were used in the film The Tiger and the Snow:
Handguns
Beretta 92SB
A US Army NCO (Steven Beckingham) at the roadblock checkpoint uses what appears to be a Beretta 92SB (probably standing in for the M9) attached to a lanyard.
Rifles
M16A2
Some of the US soldiers at the roadblock checkpoint are armed with with appear to be M16A2s fitted with Colt scopes.
M16A4 with M16A2 handguards
One of the US soldiers at the roadblock, Pete (Peter Swander), uses an M16A4 with M16A2 handguards and the carrying handle attached (probably standing in for the M16A2 as M16A4s were not very commonplace in US Army units in early 2003). Another US soldier has a reflex sight in place of the carrying handle, though still retaining the M16A2 handguards.
M4 Carbine
Later in the film, where Coalition forces assault an enemy hideout, a US soldier can be seen armed with an M4 Carbine with the carrying handle attached.
Machine Guns
FN M249 SAW
At the roadblock checkpoint, a US soldier can be seen armed with what appears to be an M249 SAW.
M85 Heavy Machine Gun
The M85 heavy machine gun can be seen mounted on Coalition M60A1 Patton tanks.
RPK
Later in the film, an irregular fighter runs by Attilio wielding what appears to be an RPK light machine gun fitted with a drum magazine.
Other
BGM-71 TOW
BGM-71 TOW launchers can be seen mounted on US Army Humvees at a roadblock checkpoint and outside the hospital where Vittoria is staying.
M203 Grenade Launcher
During the scene where Coalition forces assault an insurgent hideout, a US soldier can be seen armed with an M4 equipped with an M203 grenade launcher, flashlight, and Aimpoint sight.
