Operation Pacific is a 1951 World War II film starring John Wayne as a Naval officer who takes command of a submarine during the war in the Pacific.

M1928 Thompson
The M1928 Thompson is used by several US Navy submariners including Lieutenant Commander Duke Gifford (John Wayne) and Ens. Caldwell (Martin Milner).
Browning M1919A4
Browning M1919A4 machine guns are used by the submariners as well notably when engaging a Japanese cargo ship. The M1919A4 also is used by Japanese forces.
