Vampire Knight From left to right: Zero Kiryuu, Kaname Kuran, and Yuuki Cross (2008)

Vampire Knight (ヴァンパイア騎士ナイト Vanpaia kishi naito) is a shōjo manga series by Matsuri Hino. The manga premiered in the January 2005 issue of LaLa magazine and has officially ended. An anime adaptation was produced by Studio Deen, the first season aired in Japan on TV Tokyo between April 8, 2008 and July 1, 2008. The second season, aired on the same station from October 7, 2008 to December 30, 2008.

Cross Academy is an elite boarding school with two separate, isolated classes: the Day Class and the Night Class. On the surface, Yuuki Cross and Zero Kiryuu are prefects of the academy, and attempt to keep order between the students as classes rotate in the evenings. As the Night Class is full of utterly gorgeous elites, this can sometimes prove to be a bit difficult. It is completely necessary, however, as those "elites" are actually vampires. Yuuki and Zero act as guardians, protecting the secrets of the Night Class and the safety of their ignorant morning counterparts.

The following firearms were seen in the anime television series Vampire Knight:

M1911 "Bloody Rose"

Main character Zero Kiryuu uses a customized M1911 pistol that fires anti-vampire red bullets, named "Bloody Rose". This variant has aesthetic features such as an engraved slide, ejection port, and recoil spring plug. The handgun possesses Novak sights and has a lanyard loop to which a metal lanyard chain is attached. It appears to have a stainless/nickel finish and smooth wood grips. Zero uses this powerful weapon to dispatch low level vampires in one shot and severely wound high level ones.

Winchester Model 1873

Zero's former mentor, Yagari Toga wields a Winchester Model 1873 without the foregrip (perhaps modeled per sample of many westerns, where the Winchester rifles made to look like a earlier Henry 1860 rifle by removing the wooden forend), that fires anti-vampire bullets.
