Welcome to IMFDB

Before you do any editing please take the time to read the Rules, Standards and Principles. This is a very important document that explains how this website is setup as well as telling you what is and isn't allowed. If it is determined by an admin that you have not read these rules, your account will be suspended. Continued non-compliance may result in a permanent ban. After that you should also read the IMFDB Screencapping Guide and the IMFDB Style Guide to familiarize yourself with the image and formatting requirements for pages you create.

There are a number of pages that desperately need your help. You can find these Incomplete pages here.

If you have any questions, feel free to post them here but make sure to sign your post by typing --~~~~.

Finally, IMFDB has a forum set up here that is only available to registered members. There is lots of good stuff to see there. If you would like to join the forum, please post HERE and an account will be created for you.

Now, HAPPY EDITING! bunni (talk) 00:22, 4 December 2014 (EST)

New pages

Rather than copying an existing page onto a new page, you may use the IMFDB Page Templates page for code. I hope this helps. --Funkychinaman (talk) 11:15, 4 December 2014 (EST)

Are you able to get bigger screencaps? If you're not sure how, you can refer to the IMFDB Screencapping Guide. --Funkychinaman (talk) 18:12, 4 December 2014 (EST)

Size of uploaded pictures

I made my pictures in as small of a size that did not seem to affect quality. I was also aware that you don't want to post unedited HiDef screenshots because that would be way too much bandwidth.

The only limitation we place on the size of picture is that we do not allow PNGs. Otherwise, whatever the native image size is will be fine. Thanks. --Funkychinaman (talk) 07:08, 8 December 2014 (EST)

OK Do you guys want thumbnails as well? Should I upload the original image and use HTML to size it?

The standard code generates thumbnails automatically. Please take a look at IMFDB Page Templates. For example, to display an image, you would code [[Image: <image file name>|thumb|500px|none|<caption>]] "Thumb" will generate the image as a thumbnail, "500px" is the size of the thumbnail, and "none" means there's no justification. --Funkychinaman (talk) 10:13, 8 December 2014 (EST)
