Constantine Shotgun

Help me out here. What is your source for your info? It would be a great addition to the page, since the shotgun is nothing like a Striker 12, however with such radical modifications which would in essence destroy the original gun, I would like to know where this information comes from. Also in the film, there is no shot where Constantine fires more than one round at a time, each time he fires, the editor cuts to a different angle. Just a note, but a real working striker 12 would be able to fire more than one shot within a few seconds. MoviePropMaster2008 07:17, 17 April 2009 (UTC)

My source for this information is that I own a stunt copy of the gun used in the film and I used to own a striker 12. I no longer do, or I would show you how the drum magazine looks with the cover off.

I have also built many prop guns in my time, and after owning the stunt copy of the gun, it's pretty obvious what they removed, covered, and changed. I will outline this for you with photos later on.

The charging handle is removed/covered and this to my knowledge neuters the ejection system. So, they would have to fire one blank round, manually spin the chamber to the next, then fire the next round. Which explains why he doesn't fire two rounds on screen.

But honestly, that doesn't mean much in hollywood. With CGI muzzle flashes and a sound overlay it could have fired fully auto rifle rounds if they wanted it to, you know?

I will slap a few pics together tonight so you can see that it's a protecta/striker 12. The trigger is exactly the same, and there is even a bolt in the brass covering behind the trigger that lines up with the bolt that holds the grip to the protecta/striker 12 trigger assembly.
