Training Day is the 2017 television continuation of the 2001 crime film that starred Denzel Washington. Set fifteen years after the original film, the television series stars Justin Cornwall as Kyle, a young detective who is asked to infiltrate the ranks of the LAPD's secretive unit known as SIS, or the Special Investigation Section, which is headed up by Frank Roarke (Bill Paxton), a rogue detective with unorthodox methods of combating crime. Training Day premiered in the US on CBS in February of 2017 and is being executive produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and the original film's director Antoine Fuqua.

The following weapons were used in Season 1 of the television series Training Day:



Beretta 92FS

The Beretta 92FS is used in "Apocalypse Now" by Menjivar's sicarios with Detective Kyle Craig (Justin Cornwall) taking one from a sicario. Hejar (Ramiz Monsef) uses one in "Tehrangeles". Some of the Russian Mafiya Bratoks as their sidearms in "Trigger Time" with one of them being disarmed.

Beretta 92FS Inox

A Beretta 92FS Inox is used by Menjivar (Joaquim de Almeida) at the end of "Apocalypse Now" (S1E01). The pistol also is seen in "Trigger Time" (S1E03) in a flashback by a Snakehead smuggler named Broken Claw (Philip Tan).

Glock 17

The Glock 17 is used by officers in the LAPD.

IMI Desert Eagle

A gold IMI Desert Eagle is used by Rios (Roel Navarro) before Frank shoots him in "Apocalyse Now". A nickel version is used by Frank as another sidearm of choice, which was taken from him unfortunately in "Tehrangeles".

Smith & Wesson 4506

A Smith & Wesson 4506 is used by Frank as his sidearm, first making an appearance in "Trigger Time".

A later model Smith & Wesson 4506-1 - .45 ACP. Note the lack of a 'step up' in the frame that the older 4506 has as well as the rounded trigger guard. Also note the straight backstrap to the pistol grip versus the curved backstrap on the older model.

Frank's Firearms Stash

A variety of firearms are stored in stashes under the seats of Frank's vehicles.

In "Apocalypse Now", you can see a Colt XSE, a Smith & Wesson M&P and a stockless DefTech 37mm launcher.
In "Tehrangeles", you can see the Kel-TSG KSG, an IMI Desert Eagle, a Colt M4A1 and the Deftech 37mm launcher under the seat of the Dodge Charger SRT.
