Various criminals use the TT-33 as a common weapon.

Special Investigation Team (SIT) officer Ryo Hoshino picks up the dropped pistol and finds out that it's just a model gun. This tactic is sometimes commonly used for crooks in Japan when they can't access actual, working guns.
Kato secures the dropped TT-33 after a bank robbery was resolved in "A Golden Key can Open any Door".
The ejected mag reveals airsoft BB rounds instead of actual 7.62x25mm Tokarev rounds. Well, the incident made him scared shitless to use a gun.

The Nambu Model 60 is seen with officers working in the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. Kambe butler Jiro Hattori seizes it at the end of "All That Glitters is Not Gold".
