Beguiled, The (1971)
The Beguiled is a 1971 gothic horror feature film adaptation of a 1966 novel writted by Thomas P. Cullinan. The film stars Clint Eastwood as a wounded Civil War veteran who is taken in by a boarding school composed entirely of Confederate women. During the stay, more and more strange events begin to take place. Director Don Siegel and Eastwood made this film just prior to Dirty Harry. A feature film remake directed by Sofia Coppola was released in 2017.
The following weapons were used in the film The Beguiled:
Trapdoor Springfield Rifle
Colt 1860 Army
Several of the Confederates that confront McBurney are seen carrying Colt 1860 Army revolvers.
Remington New Model Army
One of the other Confederates attacking McBurney wields a Remington 1858 New Army revolver.
Another Confederate is seen with a Sharps Rifle.
McBurney finds a small (aka 'travelling') Flintlock pistol with octagonal barrel in a dresser drawer, and threatens the head mistress with it.
