Poster Art

To who keeps changing the film cover stop it I made the page not you so I get to choose what cover goes on got it --Zombie Killer 1995 20:28, 25 October 2011 (CDT)

I'm the one who keeps changing it Zombie Killer. You need to read the Rules, Standards and Principles for imfdb. However I'll help you out by posting the applicable RSP here for you to read.

DVD artwork, Box Covers or Theatrical Poster requirements

When you create a page, the least you should do is get a copy of the movie's poster or in the case of videogames, the official box cover. DVD covers and re-released Movie posters are acceptable but the original release cinema poster is preferred, if a good quality image of that can be found. For television shows the DVD cover or promotional art is acceptable.

IMFDB is an information resource, not our private playgroundThis is a source of Information for weapons and movie buffs around the world. Certainly it is tempting to think of IMFDB as one's own personal 'playground' but please realize that we do this work to serve others. It is harsh on one's ego to be corrected or to have one's information proven wrong, but it will always be in the best interests of IMFDB to maintain a high level of scholarly achievement in our analysis and documentation of the two worlds of firearms and film (which includes television and Anime as well as other visual media like Video Games).

Regardless if you create the page or not it isn't your page. This is a wiki page and it can be edited by anyone. I'm well within the rules by changing it to the cinema release poster. Your belligerent attitude is not necessary and uncalled for. --Jcordell 06:58, 26 October 2011 (CDT)

Winchester 70

The Winchester 70 and the M1 both look like pellet guns. --funkychinaman 14:53, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

Have to agree with you on that one. In addition the image of the SIG 552 is way to vague to make an accurate call. I changed the GPMG designation to the L7 variation of the MAG since that is the standard UK GPMG. --Charon68 17:25, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

Pellet guns?

How can you ID a weapon as Model 70 or a Garand when in fact they are PELLET guns which look nothing like those real guns? I don't understand. Were they referred to by name in the movie? MoviePropMaster2008 18:27, 17 February 2011 (UTC)

L85A1

You have this listed as the L85A1. It is actually (according to the picture) the L85A2, as can be seen from the vertically extended cocking lever which was, among other internal upgrades, upgraded by heckler and koch.

Changing poster art

Zombie Killer, just because you created the page doesn't mean that users are not allowed to modify the page with higher resolution images. The poster art previously used was the low resolution image of the DVD cover and it was not cropped properly. Theatrical posters are preferable and one now on the page is of a higher resolution. There are some instances where the admins have restricted access to a page, but the general rule is that users are allowed to modify pages if they feel that corrections and improvements need to be made. Of course, as a user, you have the right to change it back, but make sure that you have a sound reason why you reverted a change. --Ben41 21:00, 25 October 2011 (CDT)
