That's not porting on the frame. The only porting on the gun is on the very top of the slide. The 3 holes on the side of the slide and the 3 on the frame are called lightening cuts. They are meant to take excess weight out of the gun and to make it lighter for sport shooting. --SmithandWesson36 (talk) 13:51, 10 August 2013 (EDT)
