I would advise this page be deleted

The weapons are not even actual weapons, and are more like plastic/rubber toys. - User:1morey January 18, 2013 9:05 PM (EST) We've deleted this page multiple times as there are no actual weapon in the film. Plus quite a few of thos "weapons" are not based on real fireams but stuff taken from GI Joe sized dolls.Rockwolf66 (talk) 21:39, 18 January 2013 (EST)

It's gone.--Jcordell (talk) 23:59, 18 January 2013 (EST)

Eligibility

I've put up a poll in a new thread in the admin only section of the forum. --Funkychinaman (talk) 21:23, 19 October 2013 (EDT)

I don't have that kinda access, so I'm just going to drop my opinion here. I think it should be allowed. There is a lot of anime shows and movies here which obviously don't have any real guns either, and in some cases are less detailed.--Crazycrankle (talk) 00:04, 20 October 2013 (EDT)
For a number of years now I have come to appreciate IMFDB and the collective wisdom of all contributors. However, this is the first time I am somewhat unpleasantly surprised. Without checking with me first, my page for Team America is deleted within a matters of hours, even though I created it with the best intentions and (as far as I understand) respecting IMFDB guidelines. Yes, some weapons are probably taken from GI Joe toy dolls, but some have just too many details to refer to as just toys and seem to be purposely build for this movie. I totally agree that the guns on this page are subject to debate, but hey, so are most anime pages. Just look at the anime pages with mostly fantasy weapons that can be found on IMFDB... Anyway, I was hoping that my 'disclaimer' in the header would be enough to avoid debate, but unfortunately it was not. I very much appreciate the admin discussion and I will respect its outcome, PeeWee055 (talk) 06:57, 20 October 2013 (EDT)
Like I pointed out, if you had used the proper title, you would've seen that the page was locked. That should've been a heads up. We'll know in about a week. --Funkychinaman (talk) 11:05, 20 October 2013 (EDT)
I vote it stays up. IMFDB is rather inconsistent when it comes to whether cartoons or the like can have pages. Some have generic "guns", but some have detailed ones and don't fit under anime.Temp89 (talk) 16:00, 20 October 2013 (EDT)
There are a few animation pages that were made before we tightened up the rules as to what was acceptable, however if there is a non-anime animation that you think is eligible for inclusion then feel free to post some caps on your user page and start a topic in either the forum or the main discussion page to check that it is ok. As to whether this is eligible I go back and forth on it, but I am inclined to allow it. Firstly, the previous version were deleted not only on eligibility grounds but also because they were pretty much no-effort pages, and at least this version is complete (as far as I can remember). Also, I believe these weapons were actually made by the production company rather than just being taken from GI Joes or Hot Toys. The scale they used for the puppets was a 1:3, and although the weapons do tend to look small in the puppets hands, they are nowhere near as small as they would be if they used the 1:6 scale that you get on toys. I'm of the opinion that somebody may watch this movie and wonder what the weapons were so I think it would be good if we had a page for it. Also, it isn't like puppet films are becoming the norm and we really need to worry about setting a precedent. However I don't think it should be listed on any of the gun pages, as it would have to go under the normal film section as it isn't animated and yet there are no actual guns used in the film so to list it as such would be misleading. --commando552 (talk) 20:54, 20 October 2013 (EDT)

Recreation of this page

I just learned that IMFDB administrators have voted in favour of this page. For this reason, I have recreated it and will finish it shortly, with the best intebtions and IMFDB guidelines in mind. Thanks for all the reactions in the last few days, PeeWee055 (talk) 09:37, 27 October 2013 (EDT)

Getting rid of characters on top of page

Can anybody recommend how I can get rid of the annoying and mysterious '|}' on top of the movie page? It's not in the coding so I am at a loss where it comes from. If you know, please don't just remove it but let me know so that I can understand where this comes from. Thanks in advance, PeeWee055 (talk) 17:03, 27 October 2013 (EDT)

Whoops, it must be the new template. I created a new infobox template that didn't have the cast listings for this. I'll have to tweak it. --Funkychinaman (talk) 18:14, 27 October 2013 (EDT)
There we go. --Funkychinaman (talk) 18:16, 27 October 2013 (EDT)
