Ol' Mose Harper's rifle

I have this movie on VHS and was just watching it on AMC channel. Never could figure out what type of rifle "Ol' Mose Harper" (Hank Worden) carried, just couldn't get a good enough look at it. That's him in the pic that is captioned regarding Commanche warriors.

Don't know if you're still around, but the rifle that Mose uses is an old Jenks "Mule Ear" breech-loading carbine. I just updated that section of the page to reflect that. You're welcome :) -- -Jared (talk) 11:57, 28 September 2023 (UTC)

Anachronisms

As for the anachronisms, I want to point out that while the movie opens in 1868, the search for Debbie goes on for many years.

While the early scenes were in 1868, the end of the movie was most likely at least 8 years later. Sanjuro 13:43, 27 October 2011 (CDT)
