Is this a PRIVATE company? or a state run weapons factory? mpm

Formally, this is a public company (JSC). But in fact, more than 90% of the shares controlled by two companies. These companies are state owned. :(( Putin's "state capitalism" in action. --Flexo 16:14, 15 June 2012 (CDT)
We usually don't list Government owned armories (as their own brand) since they are not a 'brand'. Ishvek is listed because they sell guns to civilians and other countries apart from the government. I own several Ishvek guns myself. I'm curious about Molot. Also Shouldn't the title just be MOLOT? The longer form name should be listed in the description. It's like COLT. Not "Patent Arms Manufacturing Company of Paterson, New Jersey (1836)" ;) MoviePropMaster2008
"Ishvek"??? May be you mean Izhmekh or Izmash http://www.imfdb.org/wiki/Izhmekh --Flexo 17:34, 15 June 2012 (CDT)
You are absolutely right. Wikipedia says this plant has official short name JCS "Molot": http://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%92%D1%8F%D1%82%D1%81%D0%BA%D0%BE-%D0%9F%D0%BE%D0%BB%D1%8F%D0%BD%D1%81%D0%BA%D0%B8%D0%B9_%D0%BC%D0%B0%D1%88%D0%B8%D0%BD%D0%BE%D1%81%D1%82%D1%80%D0%BE%D0%B8%D1%82%D0%B5%D0%BB%D1%8C%D0%BD%D1%8B%D0%B9_%D0%B7%D0%B0%D0%B2%D0%BE%D0%B4 --Flexo 17:38, 15 June 2012 (CDT)
By the way Molot sell guns to civilians too (moreover, now it is their main business)--Flexo 17:44, 15 June 2012 (CDT)

Molot is bankrupt and is up for sale

According to this article, Molot is bankrupt and has been so since 2012. It will be sold soon, but with only $26 million USD in assets against the company's debt of $41 million USD, there's going to be more to this story as it develops. --Mazryonh (talk) 22:16, 2 March 2017 (EST)
