The unidentified rifle appears to be a PTRS, and the MG42 appears to be a MG34. --Funkychinaman (talk) 20:13, 3 November 2015 (EST)

( Italian ) Poster Guns

There appears to be a MG34 ( held by Jigen ) and a SIG P210 ( held by Lupin ) on the cover. Neither actually use the guns they are holding.

SIG P210 (1970s Manufacture) - 9x19mm
MG34 with 50 round belt drum - 7.92x57mm Mauser
MG34 on the left, SIG P210 on the bottom.

Model 27, not Model 19

According to production material from Japanese art books and the like, the .357 Magnum that Jigen carries in Cagliostro is identified as S&W's larger Model 27, not the 19. Apart from the size, the two guns do look fairly similar, and Jigen has carried the Model 19 elsewhere, but the art books are pretty clear. —Robotech Master (talk) 07:05, 17 June 2017 (EDT)

Well, whatever those books may show or say, we're here to document the moving media on the page, and in it, the screencaps clearly show a revolver with no cylinder gap and bull barrel both consistent with a Model 19 and not correct for an N-frame .357. StanTheMan (talk) 14:27, 18 June 2017 (EDT)
Actually. looking close, the third screencap shows the revolver having a slight taper to the barrel which would be correct for the Model 27/28. But it's only in that cap so I still wouldn't say that's enough to overrule the existing ID, especially if that is the only time that happens; Could just be an oversight on the art. Now if that's shown elsewhere, well that's another story. In the event, you could make a note in the section writeup about how he's supposed to be carrying an N-frame, but as always we go with what we see for an ID, not whatever it's supposed to be based on secondary information. Perhaps could split that last cap up into a separate Model 27 listing, again, with the notation of the info you've stated above. StanTheMan (talk) 14:33, 18 June 2017 (EDT)
