I know people here get on my case a lot for listing unidentified weapons, but I've been through the site's list of rifles and can't find one that corresponds quite exactly to the weapon seen in this film: a large bolt, the length and smoothness of the barrel and the barrel-mounted front sight. I can only conclude it's one that hasn't gotten a page yet. I'll feel completely idiotic if it gets ID'd and it turns out it was one I overlooked, but I was looking at Winchesters and such particularly. - Kooshmeister 12:21, 30 December 2011 (CST)

Having looked again, the closest I can come is a Marlin Model 25. - Kooshmeister 12:31, 30 December 2011 (CST)
Remington 700? --Funkychinaman 12:37, 30 December 2011 (CST)
And this is me feeling idiotic. :P - Kooshmeister 12:39, 30 December 2011 (CST)
That's just a guess, it just sort of looks like one. --Funkychinaman 12:46, 30 December 2011 (CST)
Well until wiser heads prevail, it'll do. 'Cause like I said I went through the rifle section pretty thoroughly. - Kooshmeister 12:49, 30 December 2011 (CST)
I went to this page. I then checked to see what the iron sights on a Remington 700 would look like, and it was close. --Funkychinaman 12:52, 30 December 2011 (CST)

Remington 700?

Are you sure this is a Remington 700? --Ben41 01:59, 29 May 2012 (CDT)

How about a Remington Model 721? :D MoviePropMaster2008 (Scratch that, I just checked my 721, some details are off) Curses. MPM

Please help ID this rifle

This rifle needs to be ID'ed. --Ben41 01:59, 29 May 2012 (CDT) Thrust has this rifle with him aboard his private airplane, which includes a trophy room and a gun collection that isn't seen very clearly. He removes the rifle from inside a display case and holds it while recounting his adventures. It may be the same Remington he uses later however it lacks the front sight on the barrel.

Thrust gestures to the stuffed head of a ram with the rifle.
