The sniper rifle looks more like just a modified AKM, I'm also wondering what the scope mount is attached to. If it's not attached to the left side of the receiver, where else can it be? --Funkychinaman (talk) 11:29, 4 November 2012 (EST)

- That's a very old discussion, but since I'm here, I'll leave my two cents. The movie gun actually has the stamped receiver of a Norinco Type 56, not an RPK (plus, it has a ported gas tube like a Type 56). It has been modified with a long barrel (which seems to be slightly shorter than an RPK's barrel), and the front sight is different, since it's not hooded like an actual Type 56. I've made the necessary fixes in the article. On another note, the reference image shown at the top of this discussion ("RPK - sniper rifle") is a modified AKM with a long barrel. --Ultimate94ninja (talk) 18:12, 8 February 2021 (EST)
