Alfa M44?
During the musketeers first attack, which fails, the Germans use three of these machine guns to repel the attack. Since the North African sequences were filmed in Spain it would seem logical that this is an Alfa M44? Also being a nitpicking geek, the Mausers used in these scenes are probably Spanish models as they have straight bolts.

- I agree that this machine gun appears to be an Alfa M44 rather than a Breda Modello 37. Breda is fed by stripper clips while the movie machine gun is belt-fed.
Also the "Unidentified grenade launcher" is a British Ordnance SBML 2 inch Mortar (also seen in The Professionals and in The Bridge on the River Kwai). The "Unidentified mortar" appears to be a Spanish Valero M1933, note the unique shape of the barrel support. Greg-Z (talk) 06:34, 4 April 2015 (EDT)

- The gun I guess to be a 105 mm leFH 18 howitzer. The tank on the final screenshot is M24 Chaffee; some more info about the tanks and armoured cars in this film you can find here. And sorry, I have no idea about the flamethrower. Greg-Z (talk) 08:42, 4 April 2015 (EDT)
- I think the Mauser 1898s are just K98s. They appear to have bent bolt handles and don't appear to be long enough. And that tank commander is clearly wearing a British uniform, I don't know why he's referred to as American. --Funkychinaman (talk) 10:41, 4 April 2015 (EDT)
- I am pretty sure the Mausers used by the Africa Corps troops are Spanish M43's as I remember the straight bolt and distinctive auxiliary bayonet attachment. Can someone check? I recently suffered a complete HDD failure so lost my copy! Also the "British paratroops" sitting on the M24 Chaffee in the desert are meant to be tank crewmen as they wear the black beret of the Tank Corps not the red beret of the Parachute Corps. --Maskedweasel (talk) 10:31, 12 June 2015 (EDT)

Unidentified flamethrower
A German soldier attacked the lieutenant and sergeant with an unidentified flamethrower.
Sherman Tank
The Sherman Tank seen at the end crossing the Rhine at Remagen is in fact a Vickers-Armstrong Centurion MBT of the British Army of the Rhine.
