Aircraft Images

I know this isn't the internet movie aircraft database, but its a subject I know decently well. The aircraft in the first image looks like some variant of the Dassault Mirage. If the movie was filmed on location in Japan, the filmmakers would probably have the easiest time borrowing a 2000 variant, which would carry a 30mm DEFA 554. The second image is of an A-4 Skyhawk (again, possibly loaned locally), which carried 20mm Colt Mk 12s. --MrMiracle 21:21, 22 August 2012 (CDT)

According to IMDb, much of this was filmed in Argentina, which would explain the Skyhawks and the Mirages (most likely Israeli built Daggers.) --Funkychinaman 22:55, 22 August 2012 (CDT)
I guess I thought there are Starfighters. But if it's the case that they're Mirages/Skyhawks, I guess there can be a change on the machine gun used. Please advise. Ominae 22:33, 23 August 2012 (CDT)

Gun anachronism

I never really suspend disbelief when a gun shows up in the wrong time period. If the gun exists during the time period, designed or prototypes on some level, sure I can believe that however unlikely, but when a gun shows up a couple decades before it ever designed...I don't believe it, nor do I am going to believe the lousy explanation of "because they are black ops" logic. It's like the Sherlock Holmes A Game of Shadows movie. Excalibur01 22:39, 23 August 2012 (CDT)
