SIX is an original History Channel series that examines the lives of the members of the "Tier One" level of the Navy SEAL community (currently designated as DEVGRU, but also known as "SEAL Team Six") as they deal with both the missions that they have been tasked with and how they cope with the aftermath at home. Partly inspired by actual missions, the series was created and being co-executive produced by William Broyles, a former US Marine and the screenwriter of such war films as Jarhead (2005) and Flags of our Fathers as well as the creator of the series China Beach. Six premiered in the US on the History Channel in January of 2017 and aired for two seasons until 2018.
